Smart TV IPTV: Samsung, LG and Hisense
Most recent smart TVs can run IPTV without any extra hardware. On Samsung and LG, you install an IPTV player from the TV’s app store, such as IBO Player or Smart IPTV, then add your login. Some of these players charge their own small activation fee, which is separate from your IPTV Family plan. If your smart TV is older or its app store is limited, a Fire Stick plugged into the HDMI port is the simplest fix.
What is the best device for IPTV?
For most people, a Fire TV Stick 4K or an Android TV box gives the smoothest experience: they run TiviMate, have a proper remote, and handle 4K well. Smart TV apps are great if you do not want an extra device. Phones and tablets are perfect for watching around the house. Whatever you pick, the 24-hour free trial is the easiest way to check it on your own screen.
| Your situation | What we suggest |
|---|---|
| Modern smart TV, no extra box | The TV’s own IPTV app (IBO Player, Smart IPTV) |
| Older TV or a TV with few apps | Fire TV Stick in the HDMI port |
| You want the best guide and recording | Android TV box or Fire Stick with TiviMate |
| Watching on the go | iPhone, iPad or Android phone with IPTV Smarters |
| Computer | VLC or IPTV Smarters on Windows or Mac |
One plan, several devices
Your plan covers 1 to 5 devices watching at the same time, and it is not locked to specific hardware. A 2-device plan means two screens at once, on whichever TVs, phones or tablets you choose. Compare plans for 1 to 5 devices
Devices FAQ
Is IPTV compatible with Roku?
Roku has very limited support for IPTV apps, so we do not recommend it. A Fire TV Stick or Android TV box costs little and works far better.
Do I need a special IPTV box?
No. Any device on this page works. If you already own an Android box, Formuler, MAG or Dreamlink, it works too.
Is the IPTV app included in my plan?
Your plan gives you the channels and the login. The app is separate, and some apps charge their own fee. We tell you which app fits your device.
Can I switch devices later?
Yes. Your login works on any compatible device, within your plan’s number of screens at the same time.
